About Us

We believe in inclusion and a society free from discrimination.

BEST Community Connections is a not-for profit organisation dedicated to supporting people to have the best life possible.

Connections is a service for adults with disabilities who have moderate to high support needs. We provide excellent day program services focused on person centered planning, inclusiveness and independence. We provide qualified staff who deliver individually tailored programs to assist in everyday tasks and programs in which the individual undertakes.

Connections is all about what’s possible when people work together to find a way to meet unmet needs.

Our accommodating and experienced team support the people they work with to achieve goals, enabling that person to have the best life possible.

In 1992 a group of parents with high support needs sons and daughters realised life after school appeared to be a life at home.

These families along with other energetic community members lobbied for funding to support day programs for their sons and daughter, and won. The State Government provided funding as a Post School Options Program and finally there was something for people to do after leaving school.

Initially, five people were supported. Today we support 110 plus people in and around Inverell, Tenterfield, Bingara, Delungra, Tingha, Gilgai, Glen Innes and Warialda.

From little things big things really can grow!

BEST Community Connections offers various day programs ranging from Community Participation, Daily Activities, Capacity Building, Finding and Keeping a Job, Independent Living, Life Choices and Support Coordination. We also offer flexible respite and brokerage services.

As winners of the Inverell Business Awards Not For Profit Organisation in 2014, Connections is proud to have led the way in day programs in the town of Inverell for more than 20 years. Connections is passionate about developing skills and the overall enhancement of lives.

In 2021, BEST Community Connections grew its footprint from Inverell down to Tamworth, opening our Tamworth office and delivering School Leave Employment Supports (SLES), Finding and Keeping a Job, Skills and Capacity Building, Social Community Participation and Support Coordination.

BEST Community Connections is a not-for-profit and sits part of the broader BEST Employment Ltd organisation.
